Join us for a very special cocktail party at the beautiful
Porter/Contemporary gallery in Chelsea! We will be treated to
delightful beverages from El Dorado Rum and seeing the exhibit "Body Beautiful" which opens January 12.
Porter Contemporary is dedicated to showcasing emerging and established artists from around the world whose work embodies both skill and risk taking. The current exhibit Body Beautiful will confirm and re-examine our ideas of beauty and the human form. Featured in the exhibit are the graceful, smooth marble sculptures of Carolina Baptista Rodriguez, the sensual, intimate photographs by Sarah Kaufman and juxtapozes these works with that of Juliet Foxtrot's modernized Da Vinci type painted images, Jennifer Murray's half human, half animal mixed media works and Catherine Tafur's paintings. El Dorado Rum will be serving special cocktails along with their sipping rums! The El Dorado family of Rum continues a centuries old Caribbean tradition of crafting exquisite aged Rum for a drinking audience all over the world. Stills nearly two centuries old turn sugar cane grown on the alluvial coast of the Demerara River, Guyana into unique Rum expressions that are aged under a tropical climate in American Bourbon and Whiskey barrels, reconnecting the world to the beauty of artisan crafted sugar cane spirits.
