Boyle Heights Walk and Coffee

Meet in Mariachi Plaza (First Street & Boyle Avenue)
Come join the women of Ivy League Lesbians & Friends (Rachel) and IvyQ (Sandie) for a morning stroll through historic Boyle Heights. We'll meet in Mariachi Plaza at 9am, and begin walking at 9:15am sharp.
Our 2.5 mile walk will take us past Hollenback Park Lake, the "Max Factor House," the allegedly haunted Linda Vista Community Hospital, where many TV shows (including E.R., Buffy the Vampire Slayer, True Blood, NCIS and more) and movies (scenes from Pearl Harbor and Outbreak) were shot, as well as through neighborhoods with charming period homes.
At the end of our walk, we'll return to Mariachi Plaza for coffee and pastries at Primera Taza (https://www.yelp.com/biz/primera-taza-coffee-house-los-angeles) and to browse through the selection at Libros Schmibros (https://www.yelp.com/biz/libros-schmibros-lending-library-and-bookshop-los-angeles), a community lending library.
Please wear comfortable shoes, dress for the weather (whatever it will be - October surprise!), expect some stairs, and bring $$ to purchase coffee / breakfast after.
