The Pride Rally

Remember that rally a few weeks ago about homophobia? For those who went, remember how empowering it was to see such support? For those who didn't think it was necessary because there really wasn't any homophobia on campus, do you know what has happened since that time? 1) The pride flag was removed that night by order of the President's office. When inquiries were made by rally organizers as to its whereabouts, they were told it was misplaced. It was found later in the back seat of one of the Public Safety cars. 2) Did you see the PFLAG signs around campus on Tuesday, Dec. 3? One of the signs was defaced with cigarette burns through the words "lesbians" and "gays." Remember that rally a few weeks ago about homophobia?
