Fine Cut Screening of documentary film: Left On Pearl
40th anniversary of the womens' takeover
March 6, 2011 2pm. Brattle Theater  http://leftonpearl.org

Left On Pearl highlights a significant but little-known chapter in Second Wave feminist history. On March 6, 1971, International Women’s Day marchers turned LEFT ON PEARL and took over 888 Memorial Drive in Cambridge, declaring it a Women’s Center.  As a result of their efforts, the Cambridge Women's Center was established and still runs today as the longest operating women's center in the country. Join us to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the takeover and 100 years of International Womens' Day! Sponsored in part by MassHumanities.

MHLP member Noelle Thurlow is part of 888 Womens History Project and would love to see Lyon's Pride members attending! Hope you can be there to support her work.
